Soccer Crazy!

It's official! Soccer season is underway and we are trying our best to keep up with 3 kids on 3 different fields! Avery is playing in the 12 and under division (The Freeze), Anna in the 10 and under (Pulmonary Assoc.) and Tanner in the 5 and under (Dodge's). And we thought things were hard when we just had 2 playing!! Actually, last year was the first year all 3 played so you would think we would have it figured out - but no dice. Terry and I don't like not being able to watch all 3 kids play. We are crazy, I guess, to not mind being up there all night, but we would rather see ALL of each game, than just a few minutes of each - and no, we don't like taking turns because then we miss somebody's entire game! It's impossible, I know, to see it all, but for some reason, we're still trying to figure out how to do that.

This is Avery's 5th year to play, Anna's 5th year and Tanner's 2nd. They all really like it and they do well at it. Avery is getting into the REAL soccer - 8 on 8, on the big field with all the referees and using all the rules. She has been playing midfielder and is doing a great job!! Anna has moved up to a bigger field this year and they play 6 on 6. She has been playing all positions. Tanner's team plays 3 on 3 and are still on the smaller fields. A year under his belt has made a big difference - they seem to know a little more what to do.

We're enjoying it. I love watching my kids play whatever and it's a lot of fun to see so many people we know out there (I saw my elementary school librarian last night that I haven't seen since 5th grade and we knew each other immediately!)! I'm thankful our kids like sports so much and have the coordination, and the good health, to play. I don't take that blessing lightly.
Happy Kicking!!

Avery kicks it hard!

Anna played goalie this game and stopped a goal kick!

Tanner in fine form!
