Lawndale Elementary held their annual Turkey Trot the first Friday of November. The Turkey Trot is a fundraiser where the kids get pledges for each lap they complete in a 30 minute time limit. This was Anna's first Turkey Trot and she had a great time. The kids' laps were counted while they circled the loop in front of the school, while music played to urge them on. Anna completed 18 laps - 3 laps from 3 miles!! She and Anna McCoy both had 18 laps, which was the most in their class completed by a girl. It's a fun event and one that promotes fitness, which makes it even better!

Tanner Cary wouldn't let Anna pass him during the race and they ended up doing the entire Turkey Trot together. They've been friends since 1st grade.
