Yes, Another Feast!

Actually, Anna's 3rd grade feast was the first of the bunch, but is the last one I'm posting because I didn't take any pictures! Sorry Anna! You are probably grateful I, for once, didn't have my camera in your face the entire time!!
The 3rd grade at Parkway had their feast on Thursday and it was a feast to end all feasts! (I'm trying to see how many times I can use that word - feast - in this post - hee hee). There was so much food at the Feast that the kids could have gone through the line about 4 times each! I was able to help serve the food and got to see all the kids eye the desserts over the vegetables.
Anna and her classmates had a good time teasing Ms. Jackson, Anna's teacher, because her "boyfriend" was there. By the end of the Feast, they had her and her beau going off to get married that afternoon with 2 of the girls in Anna's class claiming to be the maid of honor and flower girl. Ms. Jackson gamely played along. It was a fun time. The kids filled their tummies, and we had so much food left over that the Salvation Army came and took the leftovers to fill some more hungry tummies! We were all thankful the leftovers would feed others who really need it.
My prayer is that these kids will take a minute to remember all they have to be thankful for. And not just for the food. We are all so blessed in so many ways and, even though they may not realize it, just being able to go to school is a huge blessing.
Happy Turkey Day! Again!
